Unlike many other photographers, I haven’t always had a camera in my hand. In fact—wait for it—I only have a handful of photos from early childhood. My parents don’t have a single wedding photo, and I’ve only ever seen one picture of my grandfather. Yes, you read that right. Growing up Amish, cameras and photography were not allowed. I have pretty much lost any memory of what my grandparents looked like since they passed away– sometimes I can’t help but be sad to not have those photos to look back and remember their lives.
When we left the church, photography was the first thing I had an affinity for. As a teen, I quickly became interested in digital photography and began snapping pictures of nature, my siblings, newborns, families, and weddings—basically everything I laid eyes on. I wanted to capture it all. That desire to never lose a memory is what fuels my passion to this day.
After apprenticing under another photographer for several years, I founded my own photography business and can honestly say I love every moment of what I do.
Now, as a wife, mom, and photographer of course, I can’t imagine not having photos for every special moment in life—from getting engaged to walking down the aisle, celebrating baby’s early days, and all the family moments in between. It’s my hope that will be my gift to you!
When you invest in photography you’re investing in your love for your family and your shared experiences and joys. Time slips away from us in the blink of an eye and natural, documentary-style photography is what allows us to save and relive precious moments for years to come.
I’m here to create a safe space for you to be yourself, share the best parts of your life, and commemorate every moment, big and small.
Your story deserves a front row seat in front of my lens. It's so much more then clicking a button for me, it's looking into your soul and seeing you - It's stopping time in it's tracks and creating a visual legacy for your family.
